Hi, I’m Maria Arroyo

I am an aspiring actress with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to the grind. My journey is defined by continuous learning; during the pandemic, I completed comprehensive programs in Film, TV, and Theater at NYU to refine my technique. Currently, I am immersing myself in the industry from every angle. I work regularly in background roles to stay sharp on set, and I am actively expanding into the voiceover world, specifically within ADR and post-production.

Off-camera, I work as an assistant to a semi-retired, high-profile director. This experience has been an incredible education in itself, giving me a behind-the-scenes look at how great projects are pieced together. I am looking to connect with casting directors and creatives who value a performer with strong training, technical post-production knowledge, and a professional work ethic.

Background Work

I’ve spent time on set as a background actor for 5 years now since the pandemic soaking in the atmosphere and learning the rhythms of production firsthand. I've played every era from 1940's to current modern shows. The grind is real at times even fun depending on the set. I keep bringing good energy rain or shine on each movie set or small student film.

Production Assistant

There has been moments on set when I've stayed productive by helping the PA's on set. To bring help, order in order to keep everything running smoothly. Communication is a major part to help run production on time. That way I network as well. I enjoy being useful on set and not laze around.
